Ohio State will open their season against Akron on August 31st, and their big-time rival Michigan also has a pretty easy opponent that day. Still, Buckeyes fans took to social media to make fun of Michigan’s challenging game because of when it will be played.
Last season, NBC became home to the Big Ten prime-time game, where many of the best games would be under the lights at 7:30 PM ET. In that time slot, we saw Ohio State go on the road and play a tremendous non-conference game vs. Notre Dame, and now Michigan will get their shot to play a nonconference game in that window.
Michigan will open up their new era under the lights on NBC at 7:30 PM ET vs Fresno State, and many people are making fun of the matchup. This is not because the team Michigan is playing but because they put this game in prime-time when they could’ve put a game like West Virginia vs Penn State, which are two powerhouse teams in that slot.
Many Buckeye fans took to social media on Monday to make fun of Michigan getting a prime-time game, and here are some of their reactions.
